Most people don't know this, but one of the most important times we have throughout the day is the morning.
The morning, the hour that comes right after we wake up, are important because they set the tone of the rest of the day.
The best way to start the day is with gratitude.
Gratitude means to be grateful for all the good things we have in life.
Being grateful for what we have is something that requires practice because we tend to focus on where we want to go and what else we want to achieve.
This is why it's so important to stop for a moment and remind ourselves of the things we have achieved that not so long ago, we only wished for.
When we think about what we already have in our lives, we can start the day from a place of optimism and confidence.
It's great to have ambition and to want more; it's our nature. But it's important to be happy right now for what we have because only from this mindset, from the feeling of happiness and abundance that we can get and do more great things during the day.
Gratitude has a magical power. You can be upset and feel drained, but once you stop and think about what you are grateful for, any kind of negative feeling you had will change to great energy that you can you use.
You see, no matter how bad things may look sometimes, there is always something to be grateful for. Let me repeat that: THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BE GRATEFUL FOR.
Practicing gratitude will be not easy at first usually because we are not used to it. We have practiced most of our lives to focus on what is wrong, what is not working, and what we don't want.
Gratitude changes our whole mindset from what is NOT to what is GOOD and sets the tone for a day of great energy.
So how can women entrepreneurs practice gratitude? Very simple:
1. Take a piece of paper. You know what? Have a notebook next to your bed.
2. Start to write down three things you are grateful for. It can be really small things, like "I am gratefuI for the bed I can sleep on. I am grateful to have a roof over my head, etc." The reason for writing down only three things is because it's easier to start with a small number when you start a new habit.
3. When you run out of ideas to be grateful for, just say "thank you" over and over again. Our brain is a search engine, so it will start looking for reasons to be grateful for!
Go ahead and practice gratitude. It's a very powerful tool to make yourself feel better. You deserve it!
